Upcoming Gig: Bandstand Busking Day 1 at Richard Thompson’s Meltdown

As part of folk music legend Richard Thompson’s Meltdown Festival in partnership with Bandstand Busking we’ve put together two amazing afternoons of totally free music, showcasing some of the most exciting young artists in a new generation of folk songwriting.

All the acts will perform acoustic sets on a specially constructed bandstand built on floor of the Clore Ballroom at Royal Festival Hall. There’s a packed programme of music from 1pm – 7pm on the first and second Sunday of Meltdown (13th and 20th).

The folks at Broken Bells’ label have given us exclusive access to Broken Bells new video for new single the Ghost Inside. A retro-futuristic space adventure starring Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks as a Martini-drinking android, what more could you want.

And we’ve also exclusive video from a band practice session working on the song.

Broken Bells play their first European date since the release of their debut album at Royal Festival Hall as part of Richard Thompson’s Meltdown Festival on 21st June.
