Alchemy – Southbank Centre’s festival of music, dance, literature, design and debate from India, the UK and South Asia – returns for its third year.
Opening the festival are Mercury-nominated Asian Dub Foundation with their ‘combination of hard ragga-jungle rhythms, indo-dub basslines, searing sitar- inspired guitars and ‘traditional’ sounds gleaned from their parents’ record collections, shot through with fast-chat conscious lyrics.’
For this much-anticipated gig, ADF perform with the collaborators from their most recent album A History of Now.
Catch Asian Dub Foundation at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall, as part of Alchemy Festival 2012 on Thursday 12 April. Get tickets here.
