Post Show: Lisa Hannigan

Photos and reviews from an evening of beautiful new folk music.

Reviews

One might be tempted to describe her as being “girl next door”, except nobody really lives next door to anyone this cute and talented.
Russ Coffey, The Arts Desk

★★★★ Hannigan doesn’t exactly slide across the stage on her knees playing guitar with her teeth, but she’s much more robust live than her reputation might suggest. Her voice sounds fantastic, less fragile than on record, and the songs are more spooked and intense.
Alexis Petridis, The Guardian

For the encore she did a playful little snippet of the Ghostbusters theme tune … I’m pretty sure it brought a smile to the face of everyone in the room.

  1. Fantastic Gig

  2. You could hear people going “aww” in the audience, and then “wow” as she sang.
Anyone that can do that is definetly someone doing something right. Lisa is unbelivbly talented and the Irish folk songs at the end sent shivers down my spine. But it made me smile, throughout the show.

  3. And I thought I was the sensible one. Thanks for setting me stargiht.
