Barry Adamson – New album stream

The Manchester-born multi-instrumentalist Barry Adamson is heading back to Southbank Centre tomorrow at Queen Elizabeth Hall (Thursday 9 February) to celebrate the launch of his new album I Will Set You Free.

Here are some facts that you should know:

– He was an original member of  Magazine, a band that was at the forefront of the post-punk movement in the late 1970s;

– After the disbanding of The Birthday Party, Nick Cave asked him to become part of his new group Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and appeared on the first four NC&BS studio records;

– His tracks have appeared on soundtracks for David Lynch’s Lost Highway and Oliver Stone’s Natural Born Killers, amongst others.

We are fortunate enough to have I Will Set You Free streaming from the Barry Adamson webpage, and you can also hear it below.
